One of New Zealand’s most most organic and abiding acts, SOLA ROSA has issued So Fly feat. Kevin Mark Trail [the Streets.]
It has chippy analog-cog beats and vintage whirls. This is old-skool and squelchy as a carpet made of sponge cake.
With seven full-length Sola Rosa albums behind him, plus three EPs, a handful of hits, multitudinous collaborations and many world tours, it’s been a near 20-year labour of love for the man behind the music, Andrew Spraggon.
And although the career has been interrupted by twists and curves along the way one thing has remained the same – Spraggon’s unshakable dedication to fashioning outstanding albums that will stand the test of time. Each one comprising of logically intermixed numbers tinted by numerous genres, from hip-hop to jazz, and neo-soul to latin via funk.
Got something to say? Go for it!
