After crystallizing his TikTok paramountcy to northwards of 60 million+ streams, TIAGZ (pronounced Te-agz) releases his new E.P. handily titled “They Call Me Tiago.”

Tiagz

Tiagz – snappy song architecture and ironic lyrics…

The Ottawa, Canada raised mix-master and rapper TIAGZ (Tiago Garcia) —  who is something of a global wanderer — preceded the project with his explosive “My Heart Went Oops” that cleverly sampled the trending 1951 jazz classic “Oops!” (by Lawrence Welk & His Champagne Music) and gave it something that’s languishing ‘n’ gnawing, with bass wobbles that hoop around ingenious lyricism. The old-time song is reshaped into a magnificent load-bearing stonker for all our overmorrows.

The Norwalk, Connecticut social media star Charli D’Amelio performed a video that had been soundtracked by “My Heart Went Oops” (to her 55 million followers) and with the circadian support brought about by worldwide TikTokkers — from Addision Rae and more — the song generated three million TikToks (still) counting.

TIAGZ’s new five-track E.P. launches with the title track “They Call Me Tiago (Her Name Is Margo)” (shared below) that has bizarrely stepping beats, snappy song architecture and ironic lyrics. It’s filled with the kind of versemongering and brassiness that makes a heart sing and a knee tremble.
