Oakland (California) singer/songwriter Kehlani aka Lani Tsunami started her career as a dancer — but after an unfortunate knee injury that left her unable to dance she transferred to vocal training at the Oakland School for the Arts.

We have been listening to her track The Way feat. Chance the Rapper:

This has a liquid bass and wobbles of synth plus a faltering pace that fits the vocal.

That rosewater voice is astonishingly pure and it banishes any frustrations that you might feel inside.

A lonely invocation with soulful vocals, on-fire rap and saturated by waves of loveliness.
